Tom,

Have you heard the rumors in the Sun about series 2?

Interesting rumour...

As ever, I'm in two minds - it may be true or it may not.

There's some thought that the story may have been lifted from the OG forums.

As a response, there is a thread to post "silly" stories in a tabloid stylee, with half a mind to seeing how long before one of them makes it into the press :P

METAL MICKEY

Noel Clarke, Mickey Smith in the acclaimed Doctor Who series, will be converted into one of the Doctor's longest-lasting enemies, the robotic Cybermen.

Noel, 29, was previously in moody thriller "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" alongside Clive Owen who had once been considered for the Doctor Who lead.

An insider said "Some people have called Noel's performance 'wooden', but he's going to prove it's solid steel".

SHE'S DALEKTICIOUS

Welsh singer, Charlotte Church, is swapping leather outfits for pepper pots as she prepares to appear as a Dalek in the next series of Doctor Who.

Sexy Charlotte, 19, has been a big fan of the show since 2005 and jumped at the chance to portray one of the metallic monsters in the hit BBC1 series after bumping into neighbour Billie Piper at the newsagents.

An insider said "Charlotte was living next door to Billie for months and some of the show's magic rubbed off on her"

I had heard rumblings about it after last season when the Cybermen were first announced. I just figured that it was just the typical "I HATE MICKEY!' crowd.

I'll do some more investigating and let you all know!

Tom,
Take care with the "rumours" on this page... none are true and are just examples from OG to demonstrate the kind of thing the press do to rumour.

The article in the Sun (and I'm skirting the issue to avoid potential spoilers) related to the appearance of two types of being in a single story.

Subsequent to that, there has been rumour and supposition that suggested a Mickey might be impacted by an activity of one of those beings, hence the fake story above :P

BOUNCE-ALONG-A-BILLIE

In a bid to attract the dads back to the show, Billie Piper, 22, will be seen escaping from the clutches of the evil Slitheen and running down a corridor.

An insider said "The Doctor has always been hard work for alien monsters to deal with, but Billie is turning out to be quite a handful for them."
