I may not have another Whocast for this week, so I apologize in advance if I can't get to it.

Until next time...

Enjoy!

I enjoy the Podcast; I enjoy your enthusiasm for a topic I share. While the audio is sometimes a little odd (broadcasting from a moving automobile was both odd and made me worry for your safety), I will keep listening!

(I'm posting this for Sean since he was having problems with it -T)

I guess I shouldn't leave on a negative note. I've been enjoying Podcast Who since sometime around episode 18, and I've been eagerly looking forward to each new entry.

Thanks for all the work you do keeping us updated and entertained.

It was good to hear you on Podshock last week. I've been listening to that one since around the same time, sometime in August when I first heard the word Podcast, and went looking for Doctor Who casts.

One last niggling comment. Due to the nature of the title, "Podcast Who" often sounds like "Podcast Two" when it's spoken aloud on your show. Not sure if that's fixable...

ANyway, keep it up!

Sean.

(I had to send e-mail because repeated attempts to reply to the Comments section failed, no matter what I tried. Stupid software! Please feel free to post this comment in reply to your own, Tom.)

Just to clear up any potential confusion, I am Penfold on the forums, and yes I am from Norway :) But I actually live in Kongsvinger which is about 1 and a half hours east of Oslo.

The Podcast was great, with the exception of the music in the background for the news, considering it was the opening theme and not the closing theme it got stuck in the mind too easily, glad to hear that it will be gone now :)

I think the music in the background would have been better had it been a longer version. Tom, there are extended version of the theme out there on CD...though you may run into clearance issues should you decide to use it.

I have a vague recollection of a fan version of the theme from about 87 or 88 (must be around then as it includes the spangles version). I think it was intended as some kind of anniversary type remix. Essentially it started with the original theme then worked through the rest of the piece using versions of the different themes that best fit the segment. eg Murray Gold's "Band Aid" segment used the McCoy-era theme, and the bassline dum-de-dum...dum-de-dum segment came from the Tom Baker era theme, etc. It sounds a bit ghastly from my poor description, but as I recall, the actual tune was quite impressive. I think the difference was that it didn't just merge sections from each theme together, but actually recreated the style of the theme from scratch.

The reason I mention it is that I think it was about 8 minutes long.

Maybe someone else has a copy of it?

Please no just SHOOT ME!

I mean, please don't play a short loop of music in the background with such an obvious start. That is about 100 times worse than the reverb. Please please please? It drives me NUTS!

If you find a clip that is about 5 times longer, or that can be smoothly looped in the middle, then you might be able to get away with it.

On the other hand, this is the first thing you've ever done that has made me get off my - er - seat andpost in the comment board.

Great show. I'm a listener from way back. Keep up the good work!
