Whocast #37 - 12.27.05

Review of "The Christmas Invasion"!

4 TARDIS out of 5!

David Tennant comes out swinging in his premiere. He is going to be a "FANTASTIC" Doctor. This episode starts a little slow, but when The Doctor appears, it is nothing less than superb. We see the reappearance of Harriet Jones as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, U.N.I.T. and the introduction of "Torchwood"

Great, great episode! I hope you enjoyed it too!

Enjoy!
-Tom

It was fun to her your comments so soon after the episode played. Did you notice Tom Baker's scarf/outfit in the "changing room"? Did you recognize any other outfits?

There's an homage to every Doctor in the wardrobe scene, apparently.
1st - walking stick or that gold plinth thing from the early days of the console room
2nd - checked trousers?
3rd - there was a ruffled shirt, but it looked more like Francis Drake than Pertwee.
4th - Tennant is wearing a scarf knitted for Collinson by C's gran. There's also a rift on the multicoloured scarf
5th - hat, and the mirror from Castrovalva
6th - coat or something else that is a tad colourful
7th - ?
8th - ?

There was also a set of Time Lord robes, a Casanova-style outfit, a Hogwarts scarf, a suit of armour (which reminded me of the one from the Time Warrior) and probably quite a few others that I probably need a dvd print to be able to identify.
