Whocast #20 - 08.04.05

Finally getting to reviewing Episode 3 of The Unearthly Child - "The Forest of Fear"

We also have another Week in Who by Ari B.
Michael Hickerson also has given us a review of "The Leisure Hive" DVD release.

Still wanting more of your feedback and reviews of any and all things Doctor Who. I will go over the 20+ emails that are in the Gmail account that I didn't get to tonight as well as the discussions on the forum in the next Whocast.

Until next time...

Enjoy!

Impressive podcasts - well worth listening to.

A though that occurs to me is that the rate of one episode per review podcast, it could take a long long long time to reach the end. Perhaps you could intersperse the in-depth single-episode reviews with the occasional full story coverage to keep things moving along?

Good idea David, 27 seasons to cover...may need to kick the time rotor up a notch.

Thanks for putting my audio comment into your next podcast. I'll keep em comin!

Great work on the podcast Tom, every episode gets slicker and more refined. No more smoking cigars and traffic noise in the background! hehehe... One day I will be able to say "I remember when Tom was just starting out..."

Keep up the good work.

This has been exciting to listen to, I love the latest from other listeners as well! I see you are going to get a review of Unregenerate from Ari. I loved it and was debating doing a review but didn't get around to it as all my gear is my car. (Space at my parents is very limited!) I do have a couple of other BF that I am going to try to listen to in the upcoming weeks and I think I'll review one of them instead! Meanwhile, I'll look forward to Unregenorate! Ari, keep it up!

Oh yeah, and let me voice my desire with Ari and Tom... I want a sonic screwdriver as well!!! *shameless begging* I'll check with my resources as well. I actually have a friend who's family is in the UK. When I see her in the next week or so, I'll see what I can do on that front! You guys keep me posted on your status? I see it is 9.99 (not sure the exchange rate) but if my contact pans out, I do have paypal! *GRINS* Hey I go through my Canadian friends for Harry Potter, I'll go through UK contacts for sonic screwdrivers... :)

Michael, your review was awesome! I'm going to have to look for this DVD!!! :)

OK, cause I'm a dork... I'm posting again... I found something else I wanted... I mean how can you pass this sucker up?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0009P5YYI/ref=pd_sim__dp_2/202-5405261-5150269

That's the link... radio controlled battle daleks! I mean how hot is that? They even say Exterminate! My only question? Do they say "Do! Not! Blaspheme!" HEHEHE

Anyway, just had to share with you guys... I could see us having Dalek Wars now... *GRINS*

Here’s a couple of UK Dr Who shops that will ship internationally,

www.thewhoshop.com and www.galaxy4.co.uk

You could get your sonic screwdrivers from them, not sure what the shipping will be though.

I’ve pre ordered the 12” RC Dalek :-)
Should keep my interactive R2-D2 company :-D

Ari's going to be doing a review of Unregenerate? Good! I was going to submit one, but now I can listen to see what Ari thought first. Maybe I can play counterpoint afterward.

Tom - I played the bit from #19 for Kim where Dani is climbing into bed with you and goes "Daddy!!" and you reply, "Sweetie!!" She thought that was too cute for words!

She also commented: "That's not Tom? .... is it?" I told her to imagine a microphone in one hand and a burrito in the other, and she suddenly got it!

BTW, I hadn't made the connection between Tennant's outfit and your old outfits from the old days... NOW I know why I like it so much! :)

Leigh, you rock! You have to totally review that dalek though for us! That's just cool. I know... is it wrong that I want a dalek?

Tom,

Great podcast..thanks for including me though I don't sound nearly as polished as you do...

One podcast per classic Dr Who episode is too long-winded. 1 podcast per story would be much more sensible.

I would think you only need to spend 5 minutes detailing the synopsis, and then on to your actual review and commments.
