Remember, we are going to try to have a Skype Conference Call on Sunday, July 17th. Anyone and everyone is invited to join. We'll use this post as well as the main site, The TSFPN - Podcast Who Forum to pass information on to me about your skype identities, topics and times.

I would like to get it all sorted out by Friday, July 15.

Hey Richard,

You worry more about your anniversary than about this conference call!
We'll have others this year...you only get one anniversary per year.

...And I definitely don't want your wife p*ssed off at me!

Enjoy your weekend! (and Happy Anniversary!!!)

Brad, imagine how my husband feels. Here I am constantly gushing on about Tom this and Tom that...

Your wives can't be near as mad at Tom as my husband... *GRINS*

(In all honesty, I think he doesn't care. He just doesn't get Doctor Who and thinks we're all a little weird. LOL If there was a decent Doctor Who RPG for the computer though, my husband would be there... LOL)

Oh and I dropped my Skype info at the message boards, but here it is again, LadyOzma Feel free to add me. Just let me know who the heck you are. :)

Hey professor,
In your podcast you mentioned that you were going to post a link to a video of the doctor's first 7 regenerations? Did you find the video?

Listening to the latest podcast last night while jogging on the treadmill...a couple of things jumped out at me. So, here I go, as the anal-obsessive Who fan that I am...LOL...

Colin Baker's era stuff--Season 22 went to 45 minute eps instead of the traditional 25. It also went back to be being shown one episode a week, whereas Davison's era had shown two eps per week, each one 25 minutes long. Only Davison story to not do this was Resurrection of the Daleks that was shown as 2 45-minute segments to test and see if this format would work for viewers.

Well written plots for C. Baker?!? My take on his era is good Doctor, too bad about the stories. Honestly, there are more misses than hits in this era, including TimeLash and MindWarp, both of which are low points for the series. Attack of the Cybermen borders on fan-wank (written by Ian Levine, so no shock there). I do agree C. Baker got the shaft....

McCoy ran for three season as Doctor..though most of us would rather forget that season 24 happened...LOL. Also, Time and the Rani was written for C. Baker's Doc and hastily re-written for McCoy...as you can tell as the dark side of the 7th Doc does not show up there. The bad pun lines are one indicator of this...as is the poor story. To play the role that way was not McCoy's choice but force on him by the script and the hasty re-writes.

Dr Who was not cancelled after season 26. It was put on "hiatus." LOL.

The EDAs--the final EDA will be the Gallifrey Chroncicles by Lance Parkin. It may already be out in the UK and I have yet to see it here in the US. It is supposed to wrap-up the entire arc of the EDAs as well. And from now on, the eight Doctor will feature in PDAs.

Planet of the Spiders is (thankfully) not out on DVD in the UK. Green Death is out on DVD in the UK and the US. Green Death and Planet of the Spiders are by the same writer, invovle going to Metabilis Three and the blue crystal...and both are overrated stories IMHO. LOL

Also, you can get the clip of the regen on the Troughton Years VHS set and I think clips of it and some other clips from Power of the Daleks are on the Troughton part of teh Lost in Time in DVD set.
