Going over Troughton's and Pertwee's T.A.R.D.I.S.es - the differences in the consoles and console rooms. Tried to get an enhanced podcast going, but unable to do so. Thanks for the heads up on the photos! I feel much more comfortable with the idea of David Tennant as the Doctor when I see photos of him not smiling. Not sure how I feel about the outfit yet - it's leaning a little more towards the formal wear the earlier Doctors wore - but it's certainly better than the clown outfit that Colin Baker wore.
The shoes. Hmmm.....
The TARDIS console room changed size many times over the years, from the spacious room with antiques spaced around it in the early Hartnell days, to the somewhat smaller area it became by the later Troughton stories, before another expansion during the Davison era, followed by a major collapse by the time McCoy had settled in (his last console room had to be in near darkness because the condition of the sets were so bad there was only a poor-quality backdrop still usable.
Still, there was always Hartnell's "transporter pads" and Pertwee's MFI cupboards... :)
